MH Civil
MH Civil
MH Civil builds the water and wastewater infrastructure that growing South Central U.S. communities depend on. It’s heavy, technical work, and they’ve earned their outstanding reputation one project at a time. But the quality of their brand had fallen behind and no longer reflected the quality of their work. Disappointed by a prior engagement with a marketing firm, MH Civil was left with marketing channels that were underwhelming to their team and their audience. When they heard AM CEO, Aaron McClung, speak about purpose, MH Civil knew that’s what they were missing. Their brand lacked the power and the purpose that their team lived and delivered in and through their work day in and day out for the communities they serve.

The Core Problem: Essential Infrastructure
In their fast-growing market, demand for clean water and reliable roadways continues to climb. The systems underneath us were built for a different era, and they can’t keep up. That gap is the core problem MH Civil exists to solve.
Our communities are growing, but our infrastructure can’t keep up.
The Core Belief: Future Vitality
The work matters because the outcome matters. Water and roadways are not line items. They are the foundation on which everything else is built on.
Reliable water and roadways are vital for our quality of life today and for our future.
The Core Purpose: Built for This
Everything MH Civil does comes back to one commitment. When the job gets hard, they find a way or build one. That is the purpose the whole brand is built to carry.
We do whatever it takes to deliver reliable infrastructure that sustains our way of life.
Creative Direction: We’ve Got Grit
We moved past the water-blue every municipal contractor leans on. That palette says only one thing: water. And MH Civil is growing well beyond it. A growing company needs a brand that grows with it, so the identity leans into the heavy, physical reality of the work. Custom rock textures run along the edges of every layout, grounding the brand in the materials the work is built on. Because at MH Civil, “Trust Runs Deep.”
- Aesthetic: Bold, confident, and fun (just like it is to work with MH Civil).
- Color: The palette is built on three deliberate choices. Dark teal anchors the brand in the constant pursuit of greatness. Black carries the confidence of a team built for this type of work. And a bright green adds a pop of color that says, plainly, we’re kick-ass.
- Typography: Headline typeface communicates confidence and deep trust; body copy typeface is modern and communicates reliability.
- Imagery: Real crews, never stock. Full-color action shots, plus gritty half-tone and bitmap overlays for transitions and accent moments.
New Tagline & Messaging: Trust Runs Deep
The refreshed messaging transforms MH Civil from a generic bidder to a powerhouse delivering essential infrastructure. It clearly communicates the value of precision and grit while integrating the company’s spirit and commitment to community growth. The primary tagline is the brand’s new guiding principle, designed to be authoritative, reliable, and reflective of the core idea that “Trust Runs Deep.”

Brand Application: Whatever It Takes
The OVRFLO Brand Foundation Process touched every part of the MH Civil experience, from the first impression in the bidding room to the trucks on the highway.
- Website redesign: A responsive custom site built around clean navigation, refreshed imagery, and clear, purpose-driven messaging. A “View Projects” showcase sits at the center of the navigation, giving each project its own case-study page that walks through the scope, the challenges, and the results. It’s built for the visitor weighing similar work, letting them see how MH Civil has handled projects like theirs and picture what a partnership would look like before they ever pick up the phone.
- Statement of Qualifications: A 16-page Statement of Qualifications redesigned in Proposify, bringing MH Civil’s existing template up to the new brand. What was a functional but off-brand document is now a polished, cohesive piece that the team can tailor perfectly to each municipal bid. Modular sections let them swap in the most relevant projects, people, and credentials for each pursuit, so every submission feels custom without the custom workload. The result is faster turnaround on bids and a sharper, more professional first impression with every city.
- Field collateral: We transformed their Fundamentals from 26 concepts to 5 core values. Five values give the company one shared language for how work gets done, a consistent standard for hiring, training, and decision-making, and a clear identity that every employee can carry onto the job. We put them on a 4ft by 8ft bilingual job-site poster and wallet-sized field cards handed out to all staff, so the values stay visible where the work happens and travel with every member of the team.
- Fleet and environment: Industrial wraps for the new fleet of Ford F-150 and F-250 crew cabs, so every truck doubles as a billboard on Texas highways, plus pop-up recruiting banners for events.
- Social: Refreshed brand profiles across LinkedIn and Facebook.
“Moving to the next level requires us to have the boldness to show where we’re going. The new brand doesn’t just look great—it represents the mindset we are embracing for the future of JOA.”
